Match rubric · /100

Six factors that predict whether someone will show up consistently, pay $399/mo without friction, and contribute to the room.

20 pts
Proximity
Close enough to actually use it most weeks. Walking distance > 15-min drive > cross-town.
15 pts
Affordability
Role / company / seniority signals $399/mo is comfortable, not a stretch.
20 pts
Use-case fit
Quiet desk work fits cafe coworking. Sales-on-calls all day or team-of-5 meetings don't.
15 pts
Community / brand fit
Wellness, intentional living, mission-aligned work — they want our crowd.
15 pts
Application quality
Thoughtful narrative, specific, multi-context — not a template.
15 pts
Network signal
Referral, founder status, public profile — multiplies our reach if they're a fit.

ActionRedirect. A 5-person team — including 2 sales reps — is not a cafe-coworking match. Either pitch the team a private meeting room (if Gather has one) or pass to a partner space and offer to host one of their events.
Different inquiry types

Three of the 20 form submissions aren't from individuals looking to join as members. They came in through the same form but each needs a different response.

Partnership pitch
Sam Shea
LiquidSpace · representing Fortune 500 brands looking to book workspace at Gather.
Route to BD/partnerships. LiquidSpace is a workspace-booking marketplace — could be a real channel for filling unused capacity, but not a member application.
Day-rate booking
Hema Navarasala
Etsy remote employee asking about daily / discounted monthly rates via LiquidSpace.
Reply with day-pass info if you offer one, or refer back to LiquidSpace if you've onboarded that partnership. Not a $399/mo member fit.
Room rental
Angela Khurdajian
VP of Philanthropy at TUMO Foundation (global tech/design education nonprofit). Asking about a private room for a one-day team retreat.
Route to private events / room booking. TUMO is a high-prestige nonprofit — worth replying personally, even if just to point her to the right contact.
Open questions
  1. Of the 17 candidates, who has the team already followed up with? The form data alone can't tell us. Several wanted same-day starts and have no record of conversion (Lobna, Hasanal, Mike, Pete, Reza, Robyn).
  2. Do we have a private team-room or events tier? Three inquiries (Katie's team, TUMO, partnership pitches) need a non-member offer. Without one, we're saying no to revenue we could capture.
  3. Is the events + classes interest a separate funnel? Three of these 20 specifically asked about events/classes (Colin, Benjamin, Marissa). Worth asking whether the events calendar has its own intake/waitlist.
  4. What's the LiquidSpace partnership status? Two of the 20 (Sam Shea, Hema) asked about it. If it's not active, we have a clear small-batch demand signal.
  5. Should we fix the intake? The current Squarespace → Zapier → email flow has known delays and missed rows. Worth fixing before the next cohort lands.
